Do I need to sell tickets to use Nocturn?
You can use the full platform — the back office, team chat, CRM, analytics, Discover Marketplace, and everything else — without ever selling a ticket.
Who pays the ticketing fee?
The buyer. Price a ticket at $20 and you get $20 — buyers pay one service fee on top (Nocturn's 7% + $0.50, plus payment processing), about $22.87 all-in on a $20 ticket.
How does this compare to other platforms?
Most ticketing platforms charge operators 3–10%, hold your revenue until after the event, and lock you into their ecosystem. Nocturn charges the buyer, the money lands in your own Stripe as tickets sell, and you get the full suite.
Will there be a paid tier later?
We're planning premium features for high-volume collectives — advanced analytics, multi-event forecasting, and priority support.
Is the Discover Marketplace free?
Yes. Creating a profile, browsing providers, and sending inquiries is completely free right now. Marketplace fees will activate later once the ecosystem is thriving.
What about free events?
Free entry is a $0 ticket claim — no card, no fees. Guests claim a real QR ticket, you scan it at the door, and the count stays honest alongside your paid tiers.
